Price Display with and Without Tax for WooCommerce

Control how tax prices appear in your store with Price Display Including/Excluding Tax for WooCommerce. You can show prices, including tax, excluding tax, or both, with different rules for each user role, on the product, shop, cart, and checkout pages. Customers can see taxed prices automatically or with a click. Moreover, it also allows you to add a “View Tax” button and a country-based tax on the top bar, with colors customizable using a live preview. 

Installation

1. Download the .zip file from your WooCommerce account.
2. In your WordPress Admin, go to Plugins > Add New and upload the plugin by choosing the downloaded file.
3. Click Install Now, then activate the extension.

Setup and Configuration

After installing and activating the Price Display Including/Excluding Tax for WooCommerce extension, go to WooCommerce > Settings and open the tax price settings. These settings allow you to control the appearance of tax prices, choose how they are displayed, and customize the View Tax button and top bar.

Listing/Product page

Click on the Taxed Prices option; by default, the Listing/Product Page tab opens. Use this section to configure how tax is handled on the shop and single product pages for different user roles.

• Display on listing/product page: Use these settings to configure how tax is handled for each of the following user roles according to your store’s requirements.
  • Enable price display including or excluding tax based on user role on product pages
• Save Changes: After making your changes, click Save Changes to save and apply the settings.

Cart/Checkout page settings

Use this section to configure how tax is handled on the cart and checkout pages for different user roles.

• Tax Display by User Role: Use this to configure tax handling for each of the following user roles according to your store’s requirements.
  • Enable price display, including excluding tax, by user roles on cart/checkout pages
• Save Changes: After making your changes, click Save Changes to save and apply the settings.

Price settings

Open the Price Settings tab to configure how tax prices are displayed in your store. You can choose where to display tax prices, select how prices appear, and enable tax information in the top bar.

To configure these settings, you can:

• Enable Tax on the Product/Shop Page: Enable this option to display tax prices on product and shop pages. Disable it to stop displaying tax prices on these pages.
• Enable Tax on the Cart Page: Enable this option to display tax prices on the cart page. Disable it to hide tax prices from the cart page.
• Enable Tax in Cart Subtotal: Enable this option to display tax prices in the cart subtotal. Disable it to stop displaying tax prices in the subtotal.
• Enable Tax in Cart Total: Enable this option to display tax prices in the cart total. Disable it to stop displaying tax prices in the total.
• View Tax Button Text: Enter the custom text you want to display on the View Tax button.
• Select Display Tax Price: Choose how you want tax prices to appear from the dropdown menu:
  • Including/Excluding Both: Display prices including and excluding tax. This option is not available for the cart total.
  • Including/Excluding Use Base: Select this option to use the corresponding tax price display format.
  • Percentage Tax: Select this option to display tax as a percentage.
• Select Tax Price Preview: Choose how customers can view tax prices from the dropdown menu:
  • Display Taxed Prices on a Click: Display tax prices when a customer clicks the link.
  • Always Display Taxed Price: Display tax prices without requiring the customer to click the link.
• Enable Top Bar: Enable this option to display the country tax preview in the top bar on the frontend. Disable it to hide the top bar.
  • Top Bar Text: Enter the custom text you want to display in the top bar.
• Save Changes: After making your changes, click Save Changes to save and apply the settings.

Button Styling 

Use this tab to customize the colors of the View Tax button and tax price text displayed on your shop, product, and cart pages.

• View Tax Button Background Color: Choose a background color for the View Tax button to match your store’s design.
• View Tax Button Text Color: Choose a text color for the View Tax button.
• Tax Price Text Color: Choose a color for the tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive price text displayed next to product prices.
• Live Preview: Preview the live changes instantly as you select different colors.

Top Bar Styling

Use these settings to customize the colors of the top bar displayed on your store’s frontend.

• Top Bar Background Color: Choose a background color for the top bar to match your store’s design.
• Top Bar Text Color: Choose a text color for the top bar.
• Save Changes: After making your changes, click Save Changes to save and apply the settings.
