From the product edit page, you can configure the following options
  • Enable product quantity restriction
  • Select restriction type (Default, Steps, Custom quantities)
  • Enter steps to configure interval-based quantities
  • Select checkbox to convert field into dropdown
  • Select user roles if you want to apply restrictions for specific roles

Go to WooCommerce > Product Quantity to create multiple rules to add different quantity limitations for different categories, set of products, and user roles. While creating new rule you can customize
  • Provide rule title
  • Rule priority
  • Select quantity restriction type
    • Default
    • Step quantity
    • Custom quantities
    • Fixed quantity
  • Choose to display as dropdown
  • Apply restrictions to all or selected products and categories
  • Apply on all or specific products and categories
  • Select user roles if you want to apply restrictions for specific roles

Cart quantity settings:

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advance Product Quantity > and navigate to “Cart Quantities”. From here you can,
  • Limit min/max cart quantity
  • Limit min/max cart amount
  • Add quantity steps
  • Exclude specific specific products and categories
  • Customize label/error messages

Decimal Quantities

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advance Product Quantity and navigate to “Configurations”. From here you would need to enable decimal quantities and display quantities field in listing pages if needed. Once the decimal quantities are enabled, you would need to manual configure these for each product. In order to configure it,
  • Edit product and enable quantity settings
  • Select steps quantity and add minimum and maximum quantity (You can skip maximum if needed)
  • Add decimal fraction for quantity steps like if you want to sell in 1/10 than add 0.10, if you want to sell in 1/4 than add 0.25.

Can we add quantity limitations for the whole category? For example, only 10 can be ordered from category X. When you apply limitations to categories, it will apply to its products. Like if you set 10 quantity for the category X, the customer will be able to order 10 quantity of each product in that category. It is not possible with this extension to apply 10 quantity limitations on the category level. However, using the cart restrictions, you can force customers to purchased in specific quantities except from selected categories and products.
