Quote settings at the Product level
↑ Back to topIf you wish to enable quotes only for select products on the store, this can be done from the Add/Edit Product page > Product Data > Quotes tab.
- Enable Quotes – Select when you wish to enable quotes for the given product.
- Display Product Price – By default, the plugin hides the price for quote products. Select if you wish to display the price for the given quote product.
- Enable Quotes when item quantity exceeds – When ‘Enable Quotes’ is unchecked and you wish to enable quotes for the product only if the product quantity is greater than X, set the value to X.
- So for example if you wish to enable quotes for the product for quantity 11 or more, set the value in the setting to 10.
- If you would like to set a uniform quantity for all products across the store, you can use the quantity settings available in WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes > Advanced > Enable Quotes when item quantity exceeds
Quote Products & Purchasable Items in a single cart
↑ Back to topFrom version 1.5 onwards, the Pro version allows the site admin to choose the plugin behavior when a user tries to add quote products and purchasable items in the same cart. The settings can be found in WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes > advanced > Mix Quotable and Purchasable Items in Cart.
- Remove the existing products and add the new product. Display a message after the new product is added – Here, the plugin will not allow quote and purchasable products in a single cart. Conflicting products will be removed and the new product will be added. A message will be displayed updating the user.
- Do not update the cart. Display a warning and encourage the user to create separate orders – Here, the plugin will not allow quote and purchasable products in a single cart. The cart will not be modified. A message will be displayed informing the user.
- Allow and create separate orders when the cart contains both Quote and Purchasable items – Here, the plugin will allow quote and purchasable items in a single cart. Payment will only be taken for the purchasable items at Checkout. Once the user clicks on the Place Order button at Checkout, the plugin will split the items into two orders, one containing purchasable items and the other containing the quote items. Each of the orders can then be processed separately by the admin.
- Allow quote and purchasable items in a single order and do not take any payment at Checkout – Here, the plugin will allow quote and purchasable items in a single cart. No payment will be taken at Checkout. The entire order can then be processed as a quote order by the admin.
